The pillow is not adjustable and its formed foam is designed to keep its shape. Too large a profile may lift a side sleeper's head or flex a back sleeper's neck; too small can leave the head dropping. Tempur-Pedic positions TEMPUR-Neck for back and side sleepers. The intended setup places a contour under the neck rather than the shoulders climbing onto the pillow. It is not promoted as the obvious stomach-sleeper choice. Face-down sleeping commonly needs little loft, and the ridge can rotate the neck. Combination sleepers should consider whether rolling across a fixed contour wakes them or moves the head away from the designed trough.
